OK, here we go, we are aiming for the middle of the bit between the blue thingies, which are actually immense synchronised winches which lift the boats bodily out of the water.

In the wheelhouse.

Aim for the big red hull...

the forward port rope successfully thrown and caught.

Bugga.

That's a better attempt...

...and we are attached front and rear, port and starboard and are winched onto the cradle which can be seen ahead and below

 

Don't ask.

Hold that boat right there...

...left hand down a bit...

..and here's the gangway. I was promised a gang plank so I'm pretty relieved. I had a funny feeling the crew were as well. You can almost see the phews...
